Cirque de Soleil To Perform at Oscars.
by Michelle LaurenMan they must really want people to watch this year. Considering every year more and more people are realizing that the Academy doesn’t exactly base their choices on quality. Apparently it’s to the point where they appealed to Cirque to have a performance for all of 3 minutes. Well they better make a damn good impression if it’s that short. Then again they are weird enough so I don’t think leaving an impression will be that much of a problem.

To be honest 3 minutes seems perfectly understandable to me. Considering how long the damn show is each year. With all the unintentional time wasted on the damn winners who take too long to thank them 3 minutes is quite generous. Seriously name a year where they didn’t go over their allotted time.
Well that’s that I suppose. This is going to be a one time thing according to Cirque and I certainly hope so. Nothing bad to the people that like them, but it’s too weird even for me. Performance art is just all over the place and doesn’t make much sense to me. I know a lot of thought and planning gos into their stunning choreography and all, but even ballets have stories I can follow which make me appreciate them more than this.
