What Would Neil Patrick Harrris Do? Certainly Not Host American Idol
by Michelle LaurenNeil Patrick Harras, he hasn’t come up in any of these yet has he? Well frankly I take no issue with the guy so perhaps that’s a good thing. Why mention him now then? Well news is news. If you can call it that anyway.
Apparently rumor got out that NPH would replace Ryan Seacrest as the host of American Idol. Harris went on record this week debunking that claim. His main focus is still “How I Met Your Mother”. Besides he flat out said he would never want Seacrest’s position under any circumstances. He’d rather be a judge he said. All you have to do is listen to people sing and just be a critic.
It turns out that being British, smug, and awesome are not requirements to be a judge though. Shame that is.
On the surface much easier than Seacrest’s job of memorizing, hosting. Also, as Harris put it, reading that “little teleprompter thing” all the time.
Sounds like a stupid rumor just for people to remain interested in American Idol, which I think is a losing battle frankly. Even the X-Factor which seemed to hold promise is having a lot of people leave lately. Well I’m a fan of Cowell so I wish his show the best. Perhaps it will be better without Paula Abdul being there. Just saying.
